Methods & limits
The grid is not a countdown. It is a map for reallocating attention.
Completed weeks come from the natural-day difference between birth and today. The chosen range converts to total weeks using a 365.2425-day tropical year. Green is past, orange is current, and gray is only the unelapsed part of the range.
Choosing 90 years does not predict living to 90. It only gives different ages a common scale; set it to 60, 80, 100, or 120 years as needed.
Total weeks ≈ chosen years × 365.2425 ÷ 7; completed weeks = floor(complete days since birth ÷ 7).
FAQ
Life grid · FAQ
Does the grid predict life expectancy?
No. You choose the range, which only sets the number of cells. It carries no medical or statistical prediction.
Why is a year not exactly 52 weeks?
52 weeks is 364 days. Using a 365.2425-day average avoids losing many days over decades.
Is my birth date saved?
No. Calculation and image export stay in the browser, and first-party analytics do not record the date.
